By |February 25th, 2016|Categories: Gaming, GG, Podcasts, Videos|

In this episode, Sean and Josh talk about Capcom's Street Fighter 5, a new indie game called Firewatch from Campos Santos and Panic, a text-based mobile game called Lifeline, Blizzard's new strategy for Hearthstone, and the Thieve's Guild expansion for Elder Scrolls Online. Wow. That's a lot of stuff in one episode. Our YouTube livestream ran long, but we cut it down to 27 minutes in the studio. Shout out to Drift Management for letting [...]

ESO, ESO, ESO – “Let it Snow” Parody of Elder Scrolls Online

By |December 28th, 2015|Categories: Articles, Gaming, Videos|

Sean Caspian and I locked ourselves into the newly-built eciov studio last weekend and produced this quick parody for all the Elder Scrolls Online fans in the crowd. We called it "ESO, ESO, ESO" because it's a parody of the classic song "Let it Snow." He came up with the idea, and we brought it to life together. Take a two-minute break from your day and watch the festive gaming video now. The making of "ESO, ESO, ESO" I wrote the musical arrangement and lyrics then recorded the instruments and [...]

West Magnolia Trail Review: Off-Road Excursion

By |August 23rd, 2015|Categories: Articles, Auto, Videos|Tags: , , , , , |

Off-Road Excursion is a new series of articles and videos that will cover the best 4x4 trails in Colorado and beyond. If I've taken my 2011 Tacoma on the trail, I'll add it to the site, hopefully with video. I'll only feature the trails I love and call out the trails I don't. In this inaugural episode of Off-Road Excursion, I'm hitting up West Magnolia Trail just south of Nederland, Colorado. West Magnolia Trail - Nederland, CO West Magnolia Trail was an interesting find. I spent a few hours r [...]

Ben Folds Live at Red Rocks – June 21, 2015

By |July 8th, 2015|Categories: Concert Review, Music, Videos|Tags: , , |

My wife and I spent our 8th wedding anniversary listening to Ben Folds play a concert with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. I'm a music nerd; the only thing that could've made this better for me would be playing with Ben on stage. That didn't happen, but I really wish it did. Maybe next time, Mr. Folds. Seeing Ben Folds Live at Red Rocks was a dream come true for most of the people there. Seeing him perform with an orchestra took it to a completely new level. This isn't a concert review; you can [...]

If you have any questions about this decision, just hit us up on any of our social networks. This is also our first episode doing a livestream for the p [...]

Elder Scrolls Online – Armor Dying Tutorial and Crown Store Walkthrough

By |April 13th, 2015|Categories: Gamecast, Gaming, Videos|Tags: , , , , |

As I play through The Elder Scrolls Online, I wanted to create a few video guides that show off some of the less obvious things in the game. Follow the eciov YouTube channel for more content like this. In the video below, I show you how the in-game armor dying system works. The dye stations can be hard to find, but they add a completely new dimension to the look of your character. Personally, I feel like the stock armor in the game is a little boring aesthetically. Unless you get a full set of s [...]

Elder Scrolls Online – Crafting, Banking, and Recommended Add-Ons – eciov Gamecast Episode 1

By |April 7th, 2015|Categories: Gamecast, Gaming, Videos|Tags: , , , |

I recently sat down with Sean Caspian in the eciov studio to record the inaugural episode of the eciov Gamecast. We'll still be doing our MunnDay@9 gaming podcast like normal, but I wanted to start doing some Twitch live-streaming and game videos for some of my favorite games. The pair of us could cover hundreds of games, but I'm starting with The Elder Scrolls Online since I've been playing it a lot (too often) lately. I will also cover cool games like the Half Life: Update mod that came out [...]

Avengers Age of Ultron Trailer 3 – Pure Awesome

By |March 5th, 2015|Categories: Articles, Movies, Videos|Tags: , , , |

Avengers Age of Ultron – the only movie that could make more money than Star Wars in 2015 – launched its third trailer yesterday. It’s the best one to date. If you haven’t seen it yet, there’s no better way to spend two minutes of your day. I proudly admit to watching it no less than a dozen times myself. Here you go: What makes this trailer so great and better than it’s predecessors? It all boils down to story. Enter Joss Whedon; he’s the mastermind behind the first Avengers movie and many ot [...]

Epic Games Makes Unreal Engine 4 Free for Everyone

By |March 3rd, 2015|Categories: Articles, Gaming, Videos|Tags: , , , , |

For almost a year now, developers have been able to use Unreal Engine 4 to create immersive worlds for us to traverse. A $19 monthly subscription gave anyone access to the engine and early access to the Unreal Tournament pre-alpha. You read that right: a pre-alpha. It's a concept we don't see very often in the gaming industry. Epic Games hopes to encourage game developers and modders to create content for the new Unreal Tournament. They call it crowdsourced development; I think it's awesome. Wit [...]

Pentatonix Grammy Win is Groundbreaking

By |February 9th, 2015|Categories: Articles, Music, Videos|Tags: , , , , , , |

[amazon template=amazon embed&asin=B00KR62ZUA]After tonight's Grammy win, I suspect Pentatonix will become a household name. They're not for everyone, but no musician can deny their talent. I've been watching them for years. The world first saw them in NBC's The Sing-Off Season 3. The five members met a day before the initial auditions and never performed together in public before the first show. I watched every episode just to see what they would arrange next. Pentatonix was miles ahead of [...]

Elder Scrolls Online Goes Free to Play March 17

By |February 8th, 2015|Categories: Articles, Gaming, Videos|Tags: , , , , , , |

I've been out of the Elder Scrolls loop lately, but I got an email today saying that Elder Scrolls Online goes free to play on March 17. After the initial purchase of the game, all the main content is available without a monthly subscription. I've always been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series. The character progression within the world of Skyrim was amazing; it's still one of my all-time favorite games. Naturally, I was excited to hear that Bethesda (and Zenimax) was publishing an MMORPG fo [...]

Best Super Bowl Commercials – 2015

By |February 2nd, 2015|Categories: TV, Videos|

This year's Super Bowl commercial lineup received mixed reactions at best. In fact, some of the commercials were downright scary or depressing. We're certainly not going to include any of those in this list, but we will share the ten best Super Bowl commercials for 2015. First, let's address the elephant in the room: what on earth was Nationwide thinking with their dead kids commercial? You can see it here if you must, but we're not going to embed it because of its disturbing content. If you put [...]
